Facebook.

Ugh.  I just got a Mediaweek breaking news bulletin:

Microsoft has notched a major victory over its heated rival Google, as the
software giant has won the race to invest in the red-hot social networking
platform Facebook.com. The company announced late Wednesday that it would
take a $240 million equity stake in Facebook during the company‚s new round
of financing, which is being valued at $15 billion–a stunning figure for a
business that did not exist prior to 2004. As part of that deal, Microsoft
officials said they will also expand their existing ad sales relationship
with Facebook.

This irritates me to no end.  Microsoft and Wal-Mart are like the same evil existence in my eyes.

That 22 year old Facebook kid is one rich mo fo now, that’s for sure.  Or, uh, fo sho.

A punk 22 year old kid comes up with a myspace rip off and he makes a fortune off of it. I am going to do the same thing. I have decided to start a new site called FACESPACE.com it will correct all the macys add card issues of myspace…and delete fake people…and then it will have the abilty to connect you with those you work/school/network with…

This kid is a rip-off and I hope he cashes put while he can and live the good life. And kudos to the woman that marries and divorces him to take half of the fortune he built on being a poser.

    OMG. Hilarious.

Actually, I way prefer Facebook over MySpace and it is definitely the hottest web app of 2007. And not just cause Fast Company said so and I’m basically a Fast Company junkie.

Every hot company is clamoring to catch a piece of the Facebook revolution. If you aren’t capitalizing on their significant chunk of market share as one of the hottest and slickest and most successful web 2.0 sites, well… you’re missing out.

And here you thought all I could talk about was my pug, reality TV and my dating mishaps.
